Feral Cat Spay Day is May 27

Low-cost spay/neuter services are the key to controlling the feral cat population. Encourage your vet to provide services for ferals today!

On May 27 Alley Cat Rescue is hosting Feral Cat Spay Day to encourage the veterinary community and the public to decrease shelter euthanasia rates by practicing Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). TNR is a humane practice that reduces feral cat populations by stopping the breeding cycle, and lowers euthanasia rates by keeping cats out of shelters. ACR is asking veterinarians to participate by offering two or more free or low-cost spay/neuter surgeries on the day. FCSD is a great way for vets to forge new relationships with rescuers and caretakers, and for cat lovers to advocate for feral cats and TNR to vets and the animal welfare community.
Alley Cat Rescue is offering a limited number of FREE SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES through our trusted partner Brentwood Animal Hospital on the day, so please call 301-277-5595 soon to reserve a surgery spot as they will go fast!
