Holy Week at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land

Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land

A popular Holy Thursday tradition from Rome comes to Brookland’s “Little Rome” this week. From 8:30 p.m. – midnight on Thursday, join hundreds of Catholics traveling from church to church, including the Franciscan Monastery, in the Brookland neighborhood for Eucharistic Adoration and prayer in anticipation of Good Friday.

Join us on Good Friday for an outdoor Stations of the Cross at 2:30 p.m. and experience the Burial of Christ, reliving the moments from Calvary to the tomb, at 7:30 p.m.

And, all are welcome for Easter Sunrise Mass, Easter Sunday, 7 a.m., in the Lourdes Grotto. (Dress warmly.)
