Hyattsville Driver Faces Manslaughter Charges In Fatal DUI

WASHINGTON, DC — A Hyattsville woman was arrested for DUI and Involuntary Manslaughter after she hit and killed a pedestrian on a DC sidewalk Saturday morning, police said.

Briana Miller, 33, was speeding in the 3200 block of 22nd Street SE at around 12:30 a.m. when she crossed over to the lane going north, jumped the curb and hit a 47-year-old man, WJLA reports.

Delane Scales of DC was pronounced dead at the scene, police told Patch.
