The 2026 4th of July Celebration in Bel Air will kick off with a flag-raising ceremony at 6:45 a.m. at Bel Air Town Hall on Hickory Avenue, 8:30 a.m. at Rockfield Park, 9:30 a.m. at Shamrock Park and 10:45 a.m. at Bel Air Elementary School.
A pancake breakfast will be held from 7 to 11:30 a.m. at Bel Air High School.
Horseshoe pitching will take place at Rockfield Park from 9 a.m. to noon.
There will be family events, contests and more from 9 a.m. to noon at Shamrock Park. The Bel Air Community Band will perform a concert at noon.
From 9 a.m. to noon, organizers will present "The American Revolution Experience" at the Hays House, which examines how people in the 13 colonies reacted to the Revolution. Children's activities also will be held outside on the lawn. Then at the Harford History Center (143 N. Main Street, from 4 to 5:30 pm), winning artwork interpreting phrases from the Declaration of Independence will be on display.
A bicycle rodeo will take place at 11 a.m. at the Bel Air Elementary School and Lee Street.
The Bel Air July 4th parade will start at 6 p.m. starting at Idlewild and South Main, then proceed toward the intersection of East Gordon Street and North Main Street.
Fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m. They will launch from Rockfield Park with viewing areas all around Bel Air, organizers say.
