Bus Crash Into Kensington Group Home Injures 3: Officials

Six residents were displaced after a bus crashed into the side of a building in Kensington, emergency officials said.

KENSINGTON, MD — Three people were injured after a bus crashed into a group home on Lawrence Avenue in Kensington Tuesday afternoon, officials say.

The bus crashed into a home on the 3800 block of Lawrence Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. Two passengers on the bus and one occupant of the home were brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and six residents of the home were displaced, according to Pete Piringer, the spokesman for the Montgomery County fire and EMS department.

There is property damage and a building inspector was requested, Piringer said.
