MEMORIAL DAY REMEMBERENCE

This is a piece to honor our soldiers and sailors who bravely fought in this country and elsewhere for freedom.

I stand this cool early aftrnoon, the wind at my back

warmed by sun and thanksgiving for our brave soldiers and sailors

from Kensington who courageously fourht for our country's freedom

and liberty. Their memories, hopes, dreams, shadowed by magnolias,

shag bark, flowers and trailing yew. Silently meditating by Jason Swain's

"Rising" my soul gives thanks for their bravery, courage and unbridled

strength. Some never came back home, others lived in their own

private shadows; yet they selflessly gave that we today can be

free and live in Holy liberty. May their strength insire us today to

honor them and pass on the mantle for future generations.
