Cara Mia Bakery Offers Seasonal Pies at Farmers Market

Every week at the , you can find homemade baked goods by Mia Kern, but be sure to arrive early— her fruit pies sell out.

Kern bakes cookies, cakes, fruit pies, cobblers, muffins and brownies at Cara Mia Bakery. But her fruit pies are seasonal. During the summer, she will sell blueberry and peach pies, and in the fall, she will have apple pie.  She even bakes gluten-free cookies and cakes.

Kerns is an attorney by trade, but after the birth of son, she stopped working and began baking. She turned her passion into a business, and now, she continually sells out at the farmers market.

You can place your orders for the farmers market in advance by Tuesday on her website, and Kerns will have your order ready by Saturday at the Kensington Farmers’ Market.
