Walking for Heart Health: How Much Do You Really Need?

<p>You&rsquo;ve tried everything for plantar fasciitis: rest, ice, stretching,
 special shoes, night splints, even cortisone. The pain improves, 
sometimes vanishes, but inevitably returns when you resume normal 
activity. The issue isn't that these treatments don't work; it's that 
they treat symptoms, not the root cause.</p>

<p>Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of the thick band of tissue on the 
bottom of your foot. But this inflammation is a symptom of overloaded 
stress. The critical question often ignored is: why is your plantar fascia overloaded?</p>
<p>The answer lies in your biomechanics &ndash; how your lower body moves and 
distributes forces. Weak hips, tight calves, poor foot stability, 
limited toe extension, and weak intrinsic foot muscles all contribute to
 excessive strain on the plantar fascia.</p>
<p>Standard treatments often fail long-term because they focus solely on
 the foot. Stretching, icing, orthotics, and rest temporarily reduce 
stress and bring relief. However, these don't correct the underlying
