County Council Will Discuss Kensington's Sector Plan Tonight

The public is invited to testify before the Council on the town's revitalization.

The Montgomery County Council is holding a public hearing on Kensington's sector plan tonight, and it's your chance to share your thoughts on the future of the town's revitalization.

The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. in the in Rockville.

The plan, attached to this post, was last revised in June, and members of the Town Council have in the past said that it needs to reflect Kensington's unique charms while encouraging responsible development.

"It needs to be a living document that encourages continuity of design without becoming burdensome," Council Member Mackie Barch said at a meeting last month. "That's why we need more time to digest it."
