Book talk: Professor Cromer Learns to Read: A Couple's New Life after Brain Injury

Brain injury has been in the news because of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords fight to recover following a traumatic brain injury (TBI) from a gunshot wound. Thousands of wounded service members have also been diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). What is it like to go through brain injury rehabilitation, compose a new identity, and make a new life with purpose after brain injury destroys the life you cherish?

Janet will read from her memoir about her husband, Professor Cromer Learns to Read: A Couple’s New Life after Brain Injury. She will talk about rebuilding a marriage from both the survivor’s perspective and the caregiver’s perspective.
