This week we scoured our local sources and found a bonus deal on carryout for the family; savings on children's toys, fashions for mom, and a new fragrance special; and, with tax day fast approaching (lest we forget), savings on professional tax preparation. Deal: Get an extra item free with your carryout order: a free egg roll, with orders over $15; a small order of General Tso's Chicken with orders of $33; or a large order of Chicken Pad Thai or Chicken Lo Mein with $45 orders.

Deal: Take 20 percent off on both sale and full-priced purchases in the store (or get the same deal online with free shipping included). Can be redeemed multiple times.
Good through: April 4 (hurry! Can order online till 12:59 pm).
4. Professional Tax Preparation: Jackson Hewitt tax service, 11401 Grandview Avenue. Wheaton, 301-942-2844 (also Rockville and other locations).
Deal: Pick the best deal for you: Save $25 on tax preparation fees with their coupon; or save $50 if you switch to Jackson Hewitt from another service used last year.
Good through: Dec. 13, 2011. Must sign up online for $50 savings coupon; proof of last year’s tax preparation fee required at time of use. See website for more details.

Deal: Get a two-ounce lotion size of their newest fragrance for $1.00, or a three-ounce fragrance mist for $2.00, during the fragrance preview. (Regularly $3.50 and $5.00, respectively).
