Frugal Family: Five Deals to Stretch the Family Budget
We've scoured the neighborhood for deals, so you don't have to.
Welcome back to our weekly rundown of five local deals to help with your family’s bottom line. Since we do the scouting, we save you time as well as money.
This week we scoured our local sources and found a store closing sale on books, magazines, and more--and a free ice cream deal! Plus with Easter and other upcoming holiday and special occasions in mind, we found spring fashion savings for the whole family. Remember to check with the merchant for additional conditions, if any:

Deal: Buy one suit and get two free, on select men's suits.
Good through: April 23.

2. Books, CDs, more: Borders Books & Music, 11301 Rockville Pike, 301-816-1067 (White Flint Mall).
Deal: Last days of Store Closing Sale – this Borders location will shut its doors at the end the week, so everything in the store is marked down 70 to 90 percent. Books and magazines are 80 percent off; CDs are 70 percent off. Everything including the fixtures is to be sold.
Good through: This week only, while supplies last. April 17 is store's last scheduled day.
3. Free Ice Cream: , 199-F East Montgomery Ave., 301-610-0560 (Rockville Center, and other participating locations).
Deal: Stop in for a serving of free ice cream during Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day (and get in line as many times as you like!).
Good through: April 12, 12:00-8:00 p.m.
4. Women's Fashions: Dress Barn, 13617 Connecticut Ave., 301-598-8330 (Aspen Hill Shopping Ctr., and other locations).
Deal: Save on a new Easter or holiday frock: Get 20 percent off on a regular-price purchase (or 25 percent with a Dress Barn credit card) by presenting their Facebook Savings Card. Also, right now earn $5 in "Daisy Dollars" for every $25 you spend, for saving on future purchases.
Good through: Savings Card good through April 24; earn Daisy Dollars now through May 15 and redeem May 16-25.
5. Children's Dressy Fashions: Target, 5700 Bou Ave., Rockville, 301-945-0019 (and other locations).
Deal: Save this week on Easter or other kids' spring dressy-occasion clothes: Girls' dresses size 4-16 by Cherokee are $12; boys' woven shirts or pants are $10-12. Infant and toddler dresses and boys' 3-piece dressy sets by Cherokee also on sale, $9-$22.
Good through: April 16.
