Frugal Family: Five Deals to Stretch the Family Budget

Welcome back to our weekly rundown of five local deals to help with your family’s bottom line. Since we do the scouting, we save you time as well as money.

We scoured our local sources this week and found meal savings, including a "sweet" half-price deal, and a free burger! Plus, a buy-two-get-one free clothing deal (get a jump on back-to-school), savings on paint to freshen or change your home's look, and more. Remember to check with the merchant for additional conditions, if any:

Deal: In honor of "National Cheesecake Day," the restaurant is offering cheesecake slices at half-price all day, any flavor. (no limit--control yourself!).

Good through: July 30, all day (dine-in only).

Deal: Purchase any two regular-priced items in the store and get a third item free (of equal or lesser value).

Deal: Ruby Tuesday's is giving away a free burger with the purchase of two beverages, when you "like" them on Facebook.

Deal: Treat your car to their Ultimate Car Wash for only $5.99 with the Valpak coupon (regularly $12.50).

Good through: August 7.

Deal: Save $10 on a purchase of $50 or more with their coupon.

Good through: Coupon expires Sept. 1.
