Silver Spring's the Dog Stay is hosting a benefit for Pets2Vets, a program that provides veterans affected by PTSD with furry companionship. There will be paw-printing and bobbing for hot dogs for your dog, and appetizers and a cash bar for you. The suggested donation is $10.

The Kensington Historical Society's concert series continues Saturday in Howard Avenue Park with folk duo Side By Side, featuring Doris Justis and Sean McGhee. Across the street is the farmers market, so you can get your local produce and local music on the same block. The show starts at 10 a.m.

Saturday, July 16: Magic show at Kensington Park Library
