Why Go: The kids will love being at Noyes Children's Library, and this is a fun chance to do some dancing and singing along to the music of this award-winning dad from Takoma Park.

• CLAY ANIMATION WORKSHOP
Where/When: offers this on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Kids ages 7 to 11 can learn all about how their favorite claymation films are made and get to make one of their own. The kids will bring home a clay figure they create, and parents will get a DVD of their film.

• MAPLE SUGAR FESTIVAL
Where/When: Brookside Nature Center is the place to be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Not only do you get to see how maple syrup is made, you get to taste it, too. Everyone can enjoy a seasonal tradition in a great indoor and outdoor setting.

Where/When: Good times can be had on Wednesday and Friday from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at Cabin John Ice Rink.
Why Go: Spend some quality time with your little one and get some exercise all for a low price.
Pricing: $3.50 per toddler

• AT GLEN ECHO PARK
Where/When: On Saturday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Glen Echo Park
Why Go: The whole family will explore music and magic with Musico the Magnificent, who also happens to be a cello faculty member at the Washington Conservatory of Music.
