Congressional Art Competition
Local high school students in the 8th Congressional District have until this Friday to submit their artwork to anย art competition being hosted by Congressman Chris Van Hollen. The winning entry will be on display in the U.S. Capitol for one year. Those interested must complete and submit an entry form by April 13 and artwork can be submitted April 20 or 21. Van Hollen will host an Arts Celebration and Awards Reception to announce the winner and honor all participants. Local Gallery Art Show
If you havenโt stopped into the Adah Rose Gallery on Antique Row to see their exhibit, โPlaces I Have Left Pieces of Myselfโ featuring work by artists Freda Lee-McCann and Elena Stamberg, now is the time. The show closes Sunday. Gallery hours are Tuesdays from noon 5:00 p.m. and Fridays through Sundays, noon to 6:00 p.m. and by appointment.
