For over thirty years, we have provided families with a safe, engaging, and active summer camp experience for children three years old to fourteen. With the sprawling Sandy Spring Friends School campus, we offer summer experiences for your children that will provide lifelong memories and friendships. Your children will have opportunities to explore Adventure Park, swim in our man-made pond, partake in our weekly theme weeks, enjoy daily hot lunches, and so much more! Day 1 - Saturday, June 27th, 11-5pm @ DwightMess compound (805 Silver Spring Ave): Events are open to the public, admission is FREE. Featuring Special Guest Artists, gallery exhibitions, workshops, artist talks, a modeling session (suggested donation) and exhibitors, you can dig in to indie comics and also tour the compound, which features an extensive comics collection, a rare video collection, Risograph and screenprinting studios.
*Adults &amp; Teens looking for comics outside the mainstream world of superheroes (though we have those books too!) are encouraged to attend.
Day 2 - Sunday, June 28th, 1-6pm @ Third Hill Brewing Co.( 8216 Georgia Ave): Events are open to the public, admission is $10. Featuring artist exhibitors, workshops, and a screening of art videos and cartoons, learn about the comics being made by local creators, nosh on snacks &amp; sip on distinctive craft beers made by the brewery, and embrace the comics community of the DC area!
