Nov. 5: BSO's Off The Cuff

Analyze This: Mahler and Freud will reenact the meeting between Gustav Mahler and Dr. Sigmund Freud in 1910. Marin Alsop will conduct selections written by Mahler. Didi Balle is the writer and stage director.

Nov. 6 and 7: Esplanade

CityDance presents Esplanade. This is CityDance's only fall evening-lenth stateside engagement.

Nov. 7: Drawing for Art

Drawing for Art comes to a close. This is the last chance to see fine arts and crafts displayed in the Galleris and Shops of the Mansion at Strathmore. Every ticket holder will leave with a piece of art. Arrive early to not miss when your ticket is picked.

Nov. 9: Author's Tea

This week tea time will allow patrons to talk one-on-one with local authors. Afternoon Tea is served in the Shapiro Music Room at the Strathmore Mansion. Tea is specially made for the Strathmore by Master Tea Blender John Harney, and is served with a light lunch.

Nov. 10: Emanuel Ax

Washington Performing Arts Society presents Emanuel Ax on piano. Ax will perform Schubert Impromptus, Op. 142, Schubert Sonata in A Major, Op. 120, Chopin Polonaise-Fantaisie, Op. 61, Chopin Four Mazurkas
Chopin Andante spianato & Grande Polonaise, Op. 22.

Nov. 11: Bang on a Can All-Stars

Bang on a Can All-Stars will perform the works of composer Steve Reich. After the show, meet the artists in a free post-concert conversation hosted by Shelley Brown.
