• Watermen: Rising gas costs among things to blame for crab prices (wbaltv.com) — Crabbers working out of Kent Narrows say soaring fuel costs and a scarce crab supply are driving up prices just as residents plan summer feasts. Local watermen describe paying roughly twice as much to gas their boats, while higher bait and supply costs and a cool spring are further tightening margins and pushing crab prices higher statewide.
