New Magazine Spotlights Thomas Stone, 1926 La Plata Tornado (southernmarylandchronicle.com) β La Plata's devastating 1926 tornado is a centerpiece of Charles County's latest Preservation Matters magazine, marking the storm's 100th anniversary and remembering the children lost at La Plata Elementary. The free online issue also highlights Thomas Stone, Port Tobacco archaeology, preservation award winners, and shoreline restoration, and residents can request a printed copy directly from the county.
