3 Suspects Arrested For Fatal Shooting Of Teen In Laurel: Police

Three Maryland teens were arrested for the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old​ boy in Laurel July 18, police announced Tuesday.

LAUREL, MD — Three suspects were arrested for the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old in Laurel July 18, police announced Tuesday.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of Larchdale Rd. for the report of a shooting around 8:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located the boy — identified as Dustin Khoury of Thomas Lane in Sparrows Point, MD — inside the car in critical condition from gunshot wounds. He died a short time later at a nearby hospital.

Police arrested Kalik Johnson, 18, of Laurel; Kylah Nettleton, 18, of Severn and Darius Tarik Johnson, 17, of Upper Marlboro. The suspects are charged with first and second degree murder, police said. Johnson is being charged as an adult.

Preliminary investigation reveals the suspects and victim agreed to meet to "conduct an illegal transaction," police said. During that transaction, the suspects allegedly shot the victim, police said.

The three suspects are in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
