• Laurel Man Killed In Fatal Hit-And-Run Involving 2 Vehicles (patch.com) — A Laurel man was killed early Sunday in a hit-and-run on Laurel Bowie Road, and Prince George's County police are urgently asking local residents for any dashcam or home surveillance video. The 52-year-old pedestrian died at the scene after being struck by two vehicles whose drivers fled. Detectives want anyone with information to call 301-731-4422.
   

• Power outage at water filtration plant triggers essential water use order in Montgomery, Prince George's counties (wusa9.com) — Laurel-area residents who get water from WSSC are being asked to limit use to essential needs only after a power outage hit the Potomac Water Filtration Plant, which supplies most customers in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Officials stress the water remains safe to drink and no boil order is in place, but conservation is needed until power and capacity are restored.
   

• Former Immigration Contractor Charged with Stealing RAM from Government Laptops (radiofreehubcity.com) — A Laurel man who worked as a contractor for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has been charged with allegedly stealing RAM modules from government laptops in Greenbelt. Federal prosecutors say the value exceeds $1,000, meaning he could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted. He remains presumed innocent while the fraud-focused investigation continues.
