The Arc Recognizes Local Professionals

Chantelle Taylor, Vanessa Brown, Timothy Williamson are honored

Local professionals were honored at The Arc of Howard County’s recent Celebration of Excellence.

The Excellence in Professional Services award went to Chantelle Taylor, an independent licensed clinician who has consulted with The Arc for the past 4 years.

Vanessa Brown, who provides Administrative Support for the Howard County Government Office of Central Fleet, was presented the Excellence in Public Service for helping make Project SEARCH such a successful internship program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Timothy Williamson of Patuxent Valley Middle School was presented the Excellence in Schools award for his efforts with children with autism.

Since its inception in 1961, The Arc has become one of Howard County’s largest employers, with more than 300 staff members and hundreds of volunteers working to achieve full community life for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It provides a range of residential, work and day services and family support services.
