Bowled Over Event Raises Funds for Grassroots

Columbia Arts Center Hosts Creative Benefit for Crisis Intervention Center

The Columbia Art Center hosted Bowled Over, a fundraiser for Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, on Oct. 3. Guests selected a pottery bowl created by a local artist, attended a series of pottery studio throwing demonstrations, enjoyed the music of contemporary folk duo, Beggar’s Ride, and heard remarks from Grassroots Executive Director Andrea Ingram.

The Columbia Art Center is a Columbia Association facility and is located in the Long Reach Village Center in Columbia. Grassroots is Howard County 24-hour crisis intervention center and shelter for the homeless. It is located in Columbia.
