A free Side by Side Family Academy, for elementary-school families, will feature workshops in English and Spanish on managing difficult behaviors (9-11 a.m.), Internet safety (9-10 a.m.), helping children become good readers (10-11 a.m.) and Latino gang awareness (10-11 a.m.) For school-age children, a Kaiser Permanente drama troupe will present a show on nutrition called “The Amazing Food Detective.” Child care is available for preschoolers ages 2 and up. Side by Side is a nonprofit working to make local Prince George's County public schools the best they can be.
