Fourth of July Road Closures In Laurel

The City of Laurel will kick off its Fourth of July celebration a little later this year during the weekend following the fourth.

Here are a few quick things you need to know about this weekend's events:

• The city will celebrate the holiday July 7 with a fire works display at Laurel Lakes at around 11 p.m.

•  East and west bound Cherry Lane from Fourth Street to Ashford Boulevard will be closed at approximately 6:00 p.m. on July 7.
• Fireworks spectators are encouraged to arrive early and leave by alternate routes.
