Laurel to Hold Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Event

The City of Laurel will offer residents a safe and secure way to shred important papers and recycle electronics on April 22.

From the City of Laurel: If you haven’t already heard, the City of Laurel will offer you a safe and secure way to shred important papers and recycle electronics on April 22!

Mayor Craig A. Moe is pleased to announce that the always popular free Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Event is set for Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 8:00am to 12:00pm at the City of Laurel Public Works Facility located at 305-307 First Street.

This event is for City residents and businesses only, so you must show proof of City residency or confirm your Laurel business address to participate.

Wondering what you can recycle? If you have any items like computer monitors and CPUs, CD/DVD/VCR players, radios, printers, keyboards and televisions, bring them down!

If you have any important, outdated paper documents to be shredded, then bring those down too! They can be shredded securely by Chesapeake Paper Systems who will be on site.

Check to see if your address is in the city limits by calling the Fire Marshal and Permit Services Department at 301-725-5300 ext. 2238 or visit the City’s web site, cityoflaurel.org, to check the map.
