Laurel's Gas Crisis Comes To An End
After nearly a week without gas, Laurel residents have finally had their service fully restored, the town says.

LAUREL, MD -- BGE has fully restored natural gas service to nearly all customers in Laurel, ending a crisis that lasted for almost a full week.
The main gas lines were damaged by a water main break back on Feb. 15, forcing crews to replace 1,250 feet of main and cutting off service to about 400 customers.
It took 250 BGE technicians and contractors to deal with the issue, which became such a problem for Laurel residents that hot meals had to be donated to affected families.
