State Senators, Delegates Head to Annapolis Wednesday

Representatives from District 21, representing Laurel, are headed back to the General Assembly.

Nearly 200 state senators and delegates from across Maryland will meet in Annapolis Wednesday to begin the state's 430th general assembly session.

Between January and April 12, when the session ends, the representatives will vote on a number of state-wide bills, including the state's annual budget, as well as local bills by county or city. 

District 21, is home to the greater Laurel area and includes parts of the City of Laurel, West Laurel, South Laurel, Maryland City, and Russett.

Each district is represented by one state senator and three delegates. Stay on the lookout to see if Maryland City and Russett will be moved into District 32 under a new redistricting plan.
