Twin Oaks Pond Improvements Set For September
Howard County plans construction around Kindler Road and Twin Oaks Way.

LAUREL, MD - From Howard County Government: A Howard County construction project to improve a stormwater management retention pond northwest of Kindler Road in the vicinity of Twin Oaks Way in Laurel is expected to begin on or about Monday, September 11. The project will replace the existing pond infrastructure, deepen the pond to a permanent pool depth of four feet, provide water quality treatment and stabilize the downstream stream through installation of a rock cascade system. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late February 2018.
Signs will be posted near the site to advise motorists and pedestrians of the construction. A portion of the southbound lane of Kindler Road near the work site will be fenced off and the pedestrian path that connects Kindler Road to the pond will be closed for the duration of the project. Flagging operations will be available on site to direct traffic as needed.
