What city services are closed for the Labor Day 2017 holiday in Laurel?

From the Laurel Mayor and City Council: Mayor Craig A. Moe will honor Labor Day by closing City and Passport Offices onMonday, September 4, 2017.
Monday’s refuse and recycling will be collected on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, and Tuesday’s refuse and recycling will be collected on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.
There will be no change to Wednesday’s refuse or recycling collection and there will be no Residential Special Pickup or Yard Debris collection scheduled for the week of Labor Day. The next Residential Special Pickup will be on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.

You can schedule a Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris Pickup by e-mailing the Department of Public Works at dpw@laurel.md.us, using the MyLaurel App or calling 301-725-0088.
Mayor Moe would like to also remind residents that City Code does not allow refuse or recycling to be placed out to the curb for collection until after 7:30pm the night before the scheduled collection. City Code also states that all refuse and recycling containers must be returned by 7:30pm the day of the collection to either your garage or placed in the rear of your home. To do so earlier on the day before collection or later on the day of collection, is a violation of City Code and subject to citation.
