What's Open, Closed On Veterans Day 2017

What changes in services are planned in Laurel for Nov. 10, Veterans Day?

LAUREL, MD - From the City Council of Laurel: Veterans’ Day is a day to remember and thank those that have served this Country. This year, Veterans’ Day will be Friday, November 10, 2017, and Mayor Craig A. Moe will close City and Passport Offices in observance of the holiday.

If you have refuse and recyclables collected on Friday, November 10, 2017, both Thursday’s and Friday’s refuse and recyclables will be collected onThursday, November 9, 2017.

There will also be no Residential Special Pickup or Yard Debris collection that week. Public Works next scheduled Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris collection will be on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. You can schedule a Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris Pickup by e-mailing dpw@laurel.md.us, using the MyLaurel App or calling the Department of Public Works at 301-725-0088.

Public Works will also suspend leaf collection with their vacuum on Friday, November 10, 2017. If your regular leaf vacuum day is Friday, the vacuum will return on the following week, November 17, 2017.
