• Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Holiday Weekend DWI Task Force Update (hellowoodlands.com) — Over the recent three-day holiday weekend, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office led a countywide DWI Task Force that made 127 arrests, including 65 for impaired driving, to keep roads safer for communities like Montgomery Village. Deputies coordinated with partner agencies in concentrated enforcement operations and emphasized their around-the-clock availability if residents need assistance.
   

• Montgomery County Projects Included in $11.3 Million in Maryland Bicycle, Pedestrian and Trail Grants (mocoshow.com) — Montgomery County will share in $11.3 million in state bicycle, pedestrian, and trail grants that could improve routes Montgomery Village residents use to commute and exercise. Funding will help rehabilitate the C&O Canal towpath and support new active transportation facilities, boardwalk and trail repairs, and bikeway wayfinding and safety upgrades, though specific project locations and timelines aren't yet announced.
