Bus Rider Chased, Raped In Montgomery Village, Police Say

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD — A woman was chased and raped Saturday night after getting off a Ride-On bus in Montgomery Village, police said. It happened around 10:15 p.m. after the woman got off the bus on the 19300 block of Watkins Mill Road, near Montgomery Village Middle School.

The woman noticed a man following her as she walked away from the bus stop. When she ran, he knocked her to the ground, pulled her to a grassy area and sexually assaulted her, police said. The woman got away and ran home. She went to a hospital, where police were notified.

An investigation remains ongoing. A description of the suspect wasn't immediately available.
