Crime Report: Spike in Robberies Continues

This crime summary combines the weekly reports for Nov. 12 through Nov. 27—the most recent available—from the Montgomery County Police Department's 6th District station, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

An AGGRAVATED ASSAULT occurred between known parties on Club Lake Drive in Montgomery Village on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

A STRONG-ARM ROBBERY occurred at Watkins Mill Road and Clubhouse Road in Montgomery Village at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14. Three suspects—described as black males—assaulted the victim and obtained property.

An ARMED ROBBERY was reported to have occurred in the parking lot in the 18600 block of Walkers Choice Road in Montgomery Village on Thursday, Nov. 15 between 9:50 a.m. and 10:25 a.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property. The suspect is described as a male, 5’8” to 6’ tall, wearing all black clothing

A STRONG-ARM ROBBERY occurred in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village on Thursday, Nov. 15 around 8:30 p.m.  The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property. The suspects are described as five black males, 16 to 18 years old, 5’9” to 5’10” tall, three of whom had dreadlocks. 

A RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY occurred in the 19000 block of Mills Choice Road in Montgomery Village on Friday, Nov. 16 between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY was reported in the 900 block of Windbrooke Lane in Gaithersburg on Saturday, Nov. 17 around 10 a.m. No further information has been provided.

A WEAPONS OFFENSE occurred on Sunday, Nov. 18 at around noon, in the 17800 block of Washington Grove Lane in Washington Grove. Police arrested a 38-year-old male.

An ARMED ROBBERY occurred in the 20000 block of Goshen Road outside Gaithersburg on Sunday, Nov. 18 around 9:30 pm.  The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.

  • Suspect 1 is described as a black male, 5’8” to 6’ tall, 170 to 200, pounds, with black hair.
  • Suspect 2 is described as a black male, 17 to 20 years old.

A RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY occurred in the 8600 block of Hawk Run Terrace on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at around 7:15 a.m. No forced entry; property taken.

A RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY occurred in the 8400 block of Meadow Green Way on Wednesday, Nov. 21 between 8:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A STRONG-ARM ROBBERY occurred in the 19200 block of Montgomery Village Avenue on Wednesday, Nov. 21 around 9:10 p.m.  Three suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property. The suspects are described as black males, 18 to 22 years old.

An ASSAULT between known parties occurred on Thursday, Nov. 22 at around 11:20 p.m., in the 9800 block of Apple Ridge Road. Police arrested a 29-year-old Gaithersburg man.

An ARMED ROBBERY occurred in the area of Montgomery Village Avenue and Russell Avenue on Sunday, Nov. 25 around 12:30 a.m. The suspects—an unknown number of males wearing black hoodies—assaulted the victim and obtained property.

An ATTEMPTED STRONG-ARM ROBBERY occurred at Montgomery Village Avenue and Walkers Choice Road on Monday, Nov. 26 around 10:30 p.m. Police arrested a 17-year-old male from Montgomery Village.
