Crime Report: Two Armed Robberies, Five Businesses Burgled, Sex Assault near Whetstone ES

This crime summary is from the weekly report for Oct. 22 through Oct. 31—the most recent available—from the Montgomery County Police Department's 6th District station, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.
A SEX ASSAULT occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 23 in a wooded area on Thomas Farm Road, near Whetstone Elementary School. The suspects are known to the victim.

Two THEFTS FROM VEHICLES occurred between Tuesday, Oct. 23 and Wednesday, Oct. 24 in parking lots on Smoothstone Way—in the Herons Cove community of Montgomery Village. Undisclosed property was taken.
Three COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES occurred just before 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24. Ay! Jalisco restaurant (8401 Snouffer School Road), Glory Garden restaurant (8409 Snouffer School Road) and Clarissa’s Hair Salon (8405 Snouffer School Road) in Gaithersburg. Forced entry; undisclosed property taken.

A RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY in which four bicycles were stolen from the unlocked garage occurred in the 20700 block of Delta Drive—just north of the East Village community of Montgomery Village—on Thursday, Oct. 25 between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The suspects are described as three white males—one with long hair—and a black male with a mohawk.
A RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY occurred in the 9300 block of Willow Creek Drive—in the Verandahs community next to Montgomery Village—on Thursday, Oct. 25. Further information is not available at this time.
An ARMED ROBBERY occurred in the 19000 block of Mills Choice Road—in the Herons Cove community of Montgomery Village—on Sunday, Oct. 28 around 7:20 p.m. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained undisclosed property. The suspects are described as five black males, 17 to 20 years old and wearing black hoodies.
An ARMED ROBBERY occurred in the 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle—at the Cider Mill apartment complex in Montgomery Village—on Sunday, Oct. 28 between 10 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. The victim was threatened with a weapon, assaulted, and had undisclosed property taken. The suspects are described as four black males in dark clothing.
A COMMERCIAL BURGLARY occurred between Monday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m. at Touch of Class, 18546 Office Park Drive in the Montgomery Village Office Park. Forced entry; undisclosed property taken.
A cCOMMERCIAL BURGLARY occurred between Monday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m. at Merle Norman Cosmetics, at 18534 Office Park Drive in the Montgomery Village Office Park. Forced entry; undisclosed property taken.
