Futsal Tourney to 'Draw the Line' on Underage Drinking

With the support of the Watkins Mill High School community, the Montgomery County Under-21 Activity Fund and the Montgomery Village Foundation's Recreation Department, we will host a futsal tournament open to all students at WMHS to draw the line on under-21 alcohol use.

Teams of eight players are signing up for a double-elimination tournament. Each team will have a creative name that reflects our theme of educating students about the dangers of underage drinking. In addition, we will have a poster contest about the dangers of underage drinking. Prizes will be awarded for the best poster. The MVF Recreation Department is sponsoring the tournament and the Montgomery County Department of Recreation’s Futsal Program will also help provide equipment. The first place team will win a t-shirt with the logo of one of our sponsors, The Universities at Shady Grove, a gift certificate and a medal.
