UPDATE: Homicide Victim Identified In Montgomery Village
A man was shot in the parking lot at a Montgomery Village townhome Friday, the Hyattsville victim's name was released Saturday night.

(Updated at 10:10 p.m.) MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD — Saturday night authorities released the name of a man who was shot to death in the street at a Montgomery Village townhome Friday afternoon, but say the public is not in danger. Montgomery County Police say the homicide that occurred about 2 p.m. in the 8500 block of Hawk Run Terrace was not a random event; investigators believe that the victim had agreed to meet the suspect at that location.
The homicide victim has been identified as Wassi Harron Raheem Young, 20, of Vermont Avenue in Hyattsville.
During the investigation, detectives learned that a 23-year-old man had arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Investigators spoke with this man and determined that he was shot during the same incident in which the homicide victim, Young, was shot.

Several neighbors reported shots fired in the area, and police found a man in the parking lot area suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He died from his injuries at the scene.
Investigators are interviewing witnesses and cannot confirm the motive or circumstances surrounding this shooting.

NBC Washington reports that several people were detained and questioned by police, but no arrests were made Friday night.
