'Surge' of Pack Robberies In Montgomery County: Police
Three different pack robberies were reported in Montgomery Village, Germantown and Wheaton in the Montgomery County police crime summary.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD — Three different pack robberies were reported in Montgomery Village, Germantown and Wheaton in the latest Montgomery County police crime summary. The robberies involved large groups of suspects robbing victims, police said.
On April 14, ten to 15 males committed a strong-arm robbery on two adult males in the 9800 block of Washingtonian Blvd. in Montgomery Village, police said. Two days later, ten males committed a strong-arm robbery in the 19700 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown, police said. The men allegedly assaulted the adult male victim and stole his money and property.
A day later on April 17, six to eight males committed a strong-arm robbery in the 11100 block of Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton, police said. The suspects allegedly assaulted a juvenile male victim and stole his cash and property.

“We sometimes go through these surges in pack robberies. It’s not common but it’s not uncommon either,” Officer Rick Goodale told Montgomery Community Media.
Goodale said at this time police don't believe the incidents were linked because of the distance between each incident.
