Third Suspect Arrested for Montgomery Village Homicide: Police

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD — Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department Major Crimes Division arrested a third suspect for the February 10 homicide of 20-year-old Wassi Harron Raheem Young from Hyattsville, police announced Friday.

Davion Antonio Foster, 20, of Southeast, DC, was arrested in Tysons Corner, Virginia, on the strength of a Montgomery County arrest warrant Thursday, police said.

On the afternoon of February 10, police received multiple 911 calls regarding a shooting that had just occurred in the 8500 block of Hawk Run Terrace in Montgomery Village, police said.

Officers responded to the area and located Young in the parking lot of the neighborhood suffering from a gun shut wound. Young was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Foster is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

He is currently being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center awaiting an extradition hearing to be returned to Montgomery County.

Police arrested two additional men involved in the murder on March 9 — Samuel Fayomi Brown, 20, of Hyattsville and Tierek Ty Jay Thomas, 20, of DC.

Brown and Thomas were transported to the Central Processing Unit where they were charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, police said.

Due to the ongoing investigation, no additional details have been released by the police at this time.
