WHAT:

Find out what's happening in North Baltimorefor free with the latest updates from Patch.

  • 30,000 volunteers from area churches and communities in and around our region plan to hand-pack enough meals to feed approximately 14,000 children for a year.
  • In addition, volunteers are asked to bring a canned food item that will be collected by the Capital Area Food Bank and distributed to local communities throughout the area.

WHEN:

  • Friday May 13 through Sunday May 15, 2016
  • Friday 9 am – 10 pm
  • Saturday 9 am – 10 pm
  • Sunday 9 am – 5:30 pm

  • WHO:
    • Feed My Starving Children, a Christian non-profit that sends volunteer-packed, nutritious meals to 70 countries around the world.
    • Local partner, the Northstar Church Network, includes 170 Northern Virginia area churches. The partnership was inspired by New Hope Church’s (Lorton, Va.) 6-year collaboration with Feed My Starving Children.
    • Volunteers from the D.C., Maryland and Virginia area in 2 ½ hour shifts throughout the weekend.
