Baltimore City Public Schools Make Weather Announcement

On Tuesday morning, Baltimore City Public Schools issued the following announcement:

• All schools and offices are opening two hours late.
• Before-school programs are canceled.
• Half-day early learning programs are canceled.

The region is under a winter weather advisory for snow until 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Snowfall is expected to continue through mid-morning, with 0.5 to 1 inch of additional accumulation falling in some areas between 5 and 10 a.m., according to the weather service.

Roads, bridges and overpasses may be slippery. The Maryland Transportation Authority advised drivers to allow extra time for their commute.
