On October 4, 2021 just after 5:00 p.m., a BMW was observed driving erratically in the unit block of Stevenson Lane. A witness called 911, which lead to a road rage incident.

The driver of the BMW continued onto Osler Drive where he was involved in a hit & run between Cross Campus and Emerson Drive. A Baltimore County police officer who responded to the scene to investigate was then assaulted by the suspect, resulting in the suspect fleeing the area on foot. A short time later, police were contacted in reference to the carjacking of a 2021 Land Rover that occurred in a parking lot of a nearby hospital. The suspect involved in that carjacking was later apprehended in Baltimore City after fleeing on foot. The suspect was taken into Baltimore County Police custody and charged.

19-year-old Zaron Savyon Elzey of Gwynnswood Road, 21117 was charged with carjacking, robbery, theft, assault and other related charges in connection to this incident. He is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center pending a bail review hearing.
