A week of Baltimore ecology, green living and sustainability continues through this Saturday.

Baltimore Green Week's eighth year is underway and continues through this Saturday. Every day features a wellspring of events all around the city, but here's a list of highlights specific to North Baltimore just to give you a taste of what's happening in your area:
Today (Monday): Tree planting at Druid Hill Park
3:30–6 p.m., 2600 Madison Ave. off Swan Drive

Tuesday: Community Gardens and Food Documentary

5–7 p.m., American Brewery, 1700 Gay Street
Take a virtual tour of Baltimore's community-managed local gardens, visit Duncan Street Miracle Garden, and watch a documentary on Baltimore's ecology of food production and distribution and what it means for Baltimore's residents.
Wednesday: A Model for Affordable Housing: A Case Study of Habitat for Humanity's LEED Platinum Row Houses
4–5 p.m., The New Song Community Learning Center, 1530 Presstman Street
A panel of key members in a project to produce affordable and sustainable Baltimore row houses presents details of the project's design and considerations.
Thursday: Connectivity: Green Transit Meets Green City Living
4–7 p.m., Fitzgerald (1201 W. Mt. Royal Ave.) and the Northeast corner of Preston Street and Howard Street (entrance to Pearlstone Park)
Get educated on Baltimore's green building design and green transit.
Tours of the MTA's green tracks and of the Fitzgerald pick up every 20 minutes at the Fitzgerald.
Saturday: Same River Twice
6–11 p.m., G-Spot Gallery, 2980 Falls Road, Baltimore
Music, art, video and literature centering around the Jones Falls watershed will be presented. The event features local artists, musicians and writers.
