Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation Appoints Ed Miller New PGA Head Professional At The Forest Park Golf Course

PGA professional will fill large shoes left by Forest Park's longtime Head Golf Professional Tim Sanders

Baltimore, MD – Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation (BMGC), also known as Baltimore’s Classic Five, recently announced the selection of Ed Miller, PGA, as the new Head Golf Professional at Forest Park Golf Course. As Head Golf Professional, Miller will be responsible for managing all operations at the Forest Park Golf Course.

Miller brings to Forest Park nearly 20 years of experience, serving most recently as PGA Teaching Professional for the Bel-Air Golf Center in Kingsville, Md. In addition to his teaching background, Miller’s expertise includes staff deployment and oversight, pro shop management, tournament management, equipment repair and customer satisfaction.

Miller will replace longtime Forest Park Head Golf Professional Tim Sanders, who passed away in May 2015. Miller was selected by a search committee that consisted of BMGC Board members, BMGC Advisory Board members and BMGC senior staff. BMGC operates Baltimore’s Classic Five Golf Courses, which include Pine Ridge, Mount Pleasant, Forest Park, Clifton Park and Carroll Park.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ed as the new Head Golf Professional at Forest Park Golf Course,” said Jon Ladd, PGA, executive director of BMGC. “His strong leadership skills and decades of experience will be a perfect fit for Forest Park, and we’re excited to see him lead the course into the future.”

In his role as PGA Teaching Professional at the Bel-Air Golf Center, Miller provided individual lessons and implemented women and junior golf programs. He also planned, budgeted and implemented lesson programs for the course.

Prior to his time at Bel-Air Golf Center, Miller served as PGA Director of Instruction at Bruce Crampton’s Sports Performance Center in Annapolis, Md. He has also held golf professional roles at Bonnie View Country Club in Pikesville, Md., and Greystone Golf Course in White Hall, Md., and Rocky Point Golf Course in Essex, Md. Miller has played on the Gateway Tour and in 2004, he qualified and participated in the 2004 Virginia Beach Open of the Nationwide Tour.

Miller currently resides in the Baltimore area with his wife of 16 years and their three children. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Essex Community College.
