Baltimore Musician Ruut to Release Newest Album, Untold Stories, at Rams Head This Weekend

Ruut and string quartet, Invoke, team up for a powerful album debut this weekend.

Baltimore’s own Ruut is releasing her newest album, Untold Stories, Saturday, March 12, at Rams Head Onstage. The singer/songwriter’s sixth record features DC’s String Quartet Invoke, who will join Ruut on stage for the album’s debut. Ram’s Head Onstage, located in Annapolis, is the perfect meeting ground for the musicians to showcase their fluid partnership.

Untold Stories is a self-produced, fan-funded album and is Ruut’s second project since her return to music. Ruut joined creative forces with Invoke after they played together for a Jimi Hendrix tribute last year. The final product is a phenomenal treat.

Ruut, known as Baltimore’s “piano girl” graces us again with her purposeful composition and prose. Untold Stories carefully balances Ruut’s knack for personal narrative and her clear, intentional dynamic on the piano. She plays with ideas of origin and an unwritten future. Invoke provides a rich backdrop for these tales to take place. The collaboration builds a full-bodied vision worth exploring for hours.
