Horseshoe Casino Puts on Finishing Touches Before Opening

Baltimore City’s first casino is set to open Aug. 26.
Horseshoe Casino on Russell Street is going to be the state’s second largest in size and number of slot machines, after Maryland Live!
Patch got an inside look at what’s on tap at Horseshoe, including an Asian-themed gaming room, with golden bamboo at the entryway and a sushi bar next door; more than 100 table games, a 25-table World Series of Poker-branded room and 2,500 slot machines, 100 of which will be placed outside; a three-story bar that’s open 24 hours a day, seven days a week; and two restaurants with celebrity chef affiliations—Guy Fieri’s Baltimore Kitchen is on the lower level while upstairs, John Besh and Aaron Sanchez are co-owners of Johnny Sanchez, a taqueria and tequila bar withe balcony views of M&T Bank Stadium.
