MacMillan Wins Volunteer Service Award
The Arc Baltimore recently presented its Volunteer Service Award to North Baltimore resident Meghan MacMillan.

The Arc Baltimore recently presented its Volunteer Service Award to North Baltimore resident Meghan MacMillan. The Volunteer Service Award is presented annually to an individual or group demonstrating commitment to The Arc’s mission by providing voluntary support to the agency and those it serves.
MacMillan began volunteering for The Arc Baltimore’s Art in the Round event in 2011. She started by framing six or seven pieces that year at her shop, MacMillan Custom Framing. Each year since, she has framed more and more pieces, donating all of the materials.
MacMillan transforms the pieces by accenting them perfectly with just the right color matte or frame material. She takes genuine delight in seeing the selected art and considering the right frame for each piece. Ultimately, this has added to the pride the artists take in their artwork – and higher bids which means more money for the artists.
