Ravens Roosts to Compete for Best Dip in the First Ever 98 Rock Dip Bowl
September 24th Event to Benefit the Brigance Brigade Foundation

With another exciting football season around the corner, 98 Rock is searching for the best dip to accompany a Ravens game at its first ever 98 Rock Dip Bowl on Saturday, September 24th at Horseshoe Casino’s outdoor entertainment plaza. Attendees are invited to sample dips prepared by 15 local Ravens Roosts who will showcase their favorite dips, competing against one another for the chance to win awards and prizes.
98 Rock’s Justin, Scott & Spiegel will host the event which will benefit the Brigance Brigade Foundation, an organization that equips, encourages and empowers people battling ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) and their families. Founded by former Baltimore Raven O.J. Brigance and his wife Chanda in 2008, the Foundation provides access to needed equipment, resource guidance and support services.
“We are extremely grateful that 98 Rock chose the Brigance Brigade Foundation as its charity of choice for the station’s first Dip Bowl,” said Chanda Brigance, Co-Founder of the Brigance Brigade Foundation. “98 Rock has been a long-time, valued partner of the Foundation and we couldn’t be happier to continue the partnership through this fun event. I am looking forward to kicking off the Ravens’ season with some delicious snacks and dedicated fans!”

The public, and celebrity judges, will taste each of the 15 Roosts’ dips and vote on their favorites. Roosts have a chance to win best warm dip, best cold dip, best presentation/team spirit and People’s Choice. In addition to voting for their favorites, attendees will also enjoy additional food, beverages and music in a tailgate atmosphere.
“When the 98 Rock Dip Bowl was created, we unanimously agreed that the Brigance Brigade Foundation was the perfect nonprofit organization to support,” said Lori Smyth, Promotions Director for 98 Rock and WBAL Radio. “O.J. Brigance is such a huge part of the team, inspiring the men on and off the field while simultaneously fighting for his own life and the lives of others in his situation.”
