Learn to meditate, relax and deeply enjoy

Fri. evening January 15 – Mon. January 18

Join us for a meditation retreat at the beach, where you’ll receive teachings on how to develop your concentration. During the mornings, we will be silent, which allows us to more easily focus within and let go of distractions. After the morning silence, there will be opportunity for discussion with spiritual friends at lunch and between retreat sessions in the afternoon. Take walks on the beautiful beach nearby and contemplate the analogy of your mind being like an ocean and your thoughts, like waves. All levels of experience are welcome!

Teacher: Gen Kelsang Chogden is an American Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland. Her compassionate activities of teaching, guiding, and inspiring those around her are the result of her deep faith, clear wisdom, and heartfelt concern for others. Gen Chogden has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for approximately 17 years under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s guidance and brings true sincerity and humility to her life as a spiritual teacher.
